Taylor Swift has been a huge part of the NFL this entire season, and now she is heading to the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. However, there is a big problem awaiting the popstar ahead of the highly anticipated fixture.
Taylor’s show in Japan is just a day before the Super Bowl, which will make her attendance in the Allegiant Stadium complicated. Amidst all the worries about whether she would be able to make it to the game or not, the Japan Embassy has stepped forward to give some hope.
Japan Embassy assures Taylor Swift Super Bowl LVIII appearance
After Travis Kelce and the Chiefs won the AFC Championship against the Ravens, fans were worried about Taylor Swift attending the big game. While some reports suggested she could travel back in time, take an hours-long flight, and reach the Super Bowl game, others suggested it would be impossible for her to do that, considering her physical and mental exhaustion after 4 days of consecutive shows.
Amid all these speculations, the Japan Embassy in the USA has released a statement assuring Swifties that Taylor Swift will make it to the Super Bowl LVIII. The embassy assured the fans that if the pop icon takes a flight after her show, she can reach the Super Bowl as Tokyo is 17 hours ahead of United States time.
“Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins.”
They also ensured that Japanese fans would get to experience the Eras Tour show as they wanted and expressed confidence in the Karma singer’s ability to perform at her best and then leave to support her boyfriend.
“We know that many people in Japan are excited to experience Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, so we wanted to confirm that anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs when they take the field for the Super Bowl wearing Red.”
After this statement, fans should no longer be worried about whether Taylor Swift will be in the Super Bowl game or not. But even if she makes it to the game, another hurdle is that she will have to pay $3 million to be able to watch the game.
We just hope Travis Kelce and the Chiefs won’t disappoint Taylor Swift after she puts in this much effort to watch the game.
Taylor Swift-related Super Bowl props fascinate sportsbooks
Taylor Swift’s influence during the NFL season has extended to Super Bowl LVIII, with sportsbooks eager to capitalize on the frenzy surrounding Travis Kelce’s relationship with the superstar.
ESPN BET has introduced several Swift-themed props, such as Swift Action (touchdown scored in the first two minutes, +1200), Taylor’s Tailor’s Husband (Kyle Juszczyk to score a touchdown, +900) and MVP Swelce (Kelce to win Super Bowl MVP, +1500).
They are also offering multiple Kelce-themed props known as Swelce Specials which include props like ‘Kelce TD,’ ‘Kelce over 7.5 catches, K.C. win,’ and ‘Kelce 1st TD, Chiefs win.’
While U.S. sportsbooks can’t offer direct Swift-related props, Ontario, Canada’s more permissive prop betting laws allow TheScore Bet to offer Swift-related props, including predicting the color of Swift’s top, her appearances during the national anthem and halftime show, and being mentioned during the Super Bowl MVP’s speech.
FanDuel Canada also introduced a prop bet speculating whether Travis Kelce will propose to Taylor Swift on the field after the game, with odds favoring the “Yes” option and a notable percentage of bets supporting it.
These props are getting a lot of hype, which is going to increase as the Super Bowl draws near. The game is scheduled for February 11 and for the first time in history, it will be broadcast on two networks, Nickelodeon and CBS.
