Post-match Manchester United boss Eric Ten Hag praised the centerback for his exceptional performance after handing him the second start of the season.

Ten Hag told the reporters, “Harry Maguire is playing like we want him to play, dominating his opponent. I am happy with his performance. He deserved the MOTM award yesterday. He played a really good game and read the game very well. I am pleased for him”.

Earlier, it was reported that Maguire might opt to leave the club if he doesn’t get enough chances, clearly expressing his frustration. Nonetheless, another win for Ten Hag’s side sees them climb up to the 8th position on the league table with 15 points, finally achieving some positive results following a rough start to the season.
