Erling Braut Haaland and Dan Burn caused an on-field brawl to take place as Manchester City cruised to a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United last Saturday.
Manchester City dominated against Newcastle as they scored twice to beat Eddie Howe’s men, who failed to keep up with the rhythm. Phil Foden scored the first goal in the fifteenth minute before Bernardo Silva scored the second to make it 2-0 in the 67th minute.
Haaland had a poor game, being pocketed for most of the game, although he did assist Bernardo’s goal. Haaland also showed elite shithousery when he wasted time in the corner with Jack Grealish, mocking the Newcastle players and putting the ball out for another corner repeatedly.

Towards the end of the game in the 73rd minute, Haaland was seen sprinting over the full pitch to confront Dan Burn after the Newcastle defender fouled Jack Grealish. Burn had fouled Grealish and then had some choice words for the winger’s reaction which prompted Haaland to come to his teammate’s rescue. The two huge players started shoving each other before being broken up by their teammates. Both were given yellow cards for this misdemeanor on the field. Soon after Haaland was seen smiling and laughing at Burn in what many found to be a hilarious moment.
What’s next for both teams?
Newcastle has now lost three games in a row in all competitions putting a serious dent in their top four hopes. They also lost the Carabao Cup final to Manchester United. Though their defense is somewhat ok, the problem lies in their frontline which is struggling to score. They are now in 6th place, four points behind Tottenham who are in 4th place though they do still have games in hand.
Manchester City meanwhile is now in 2nd place with 58 points just five points behind league leaders Arsenal. They will be looking to close the gap further when they host Arsenal on April 27.
Manchester City will next face Palace away next Saturday and Newcastle will face Wolverhampton Wolves at home on Sunday.
