Former FC Barcelona center-back Gerard Pique lead Kings League to an unbelievable debut season with both Neymar and Lionel Messi making cameos. The seven-a-side soccer tournament concluded with a successful Final Four event on Sunday at Camp Nou.
Before the start of the tournament, both Pique and the King’s League released a commercial that announced that Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr will gain the rights to own a Kings League team from next season. In the 6-minute advertisement, we see some acting from both Neymar and Pique. Neymar kidnaps Pique and demands to be given a team in the King’s League. Pique eventually does so in return for his freedom.
Neymar, who also plays for Paris Saint Germain has been reported to be present during the Final Four event held in Camp Nou. He was there with fellow Brazilian soccer superstars Ronaldo Nazario and Ronaldinho. Ronaldinho even played in the current edition and will own a team in the next one.
Was Lionel Messi at the Kings League event at Camp Nou?
Argentinian legend Lionel Messi was not present at Camp Nou physically, but he was still there in spirit. The entire Camp Nou crowd chanted Messi’s name amid rumors of him contemplating a move back to Barcelona. Ronaldinho also spoke about his desire to see Messi come back to retire at Barcelona.

What was the Kings League event?
Over 92,000 spectators attended Kings League at Camp Nou, chanting “Messi,” singing “Happy Birthday” to Llanos, and seeing “El Barrio” become the competition’s first winning team.
Between games, there was a Super Bowl-style halftime spectacle, and other notable attendees included Sergio “Kun” Aguero, David Villa, and Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
Barcelona is expected to have earned around €2 million from hosting the final event. This could prove beneficial to them amid many financial shortages.
Because its regulations differ from traditional soccer, Kings League, which gathered over 2 million viewers on the internet on Sunday, has a large social media following.
With limitless substitutes, a tie-breaker penalty shootout, and “secret weapons,” the game is very exciting. It also attracts a lot of attention thanks to its influence.
After retirement Gerard has become fully devoted to his organization King’s League, a seven-a-side league. He created it in 2022 with other known soccer celebrities and YouTubers like Iker Casillas and Sergio Aguero. He is also currently embroiled in controversy after the high-profile breakup with his ex-wife Shakira after he was caught cheating on her.
