Ex-Buccaneers coach spills the beans on Tom Brady’s divorce from Gisele Bundchen

Tom Brady‘s personal life was thrown into turmoil when Gisele Bundchen, his wife of thirteen years, decided to end their marriage. According to Clyde Christensen, a former quarterbacks coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady was left completely blindsided by the proceedings.

The news came as a surprise not just to Brady but to the entire football community. During the 2022/23 season, the veteran quarterback took an eleven–day leave of absence from training camp and lost fifteen pounds in the process.

When he resurfaced, he looked gaunt and exhausted, leading to rampant speculation as to what was going on.

Christensen, who was in the know about the divorce, said in an interview with the Tampa Bay Times that the whole experience was very overwhelming for Brady.

Not only did he have to deal with his personal problems but he was also expected to continue performing on the field.

“To watch Tom have to leave training camp for 11 days to take care of some personal problems, it was heartbreaking stuff,” Christensen said. “A divorce. Worrying about his kids. Hard stuff. But then you’re still expected to do your job when you get back. No one cares. And you’ve got a team. You have everyone depending on you. The show goes on.”

The tumultuous period in Brady’s life certainly had an impact on his performance that season. He had one of the worst seasons of his career and the team couldn’t make it past the first round of the playoffs.

However, despite the difficulty of the situation, Brady was still able to help the Bucs reach the playoffs.

It’s clear that Tom Brady is a fighter, both on and off the field. He has shown time and time again that even in the face of adversity, his will is unshakable.

He has proven that no matter the circumstances, he will continue to fight and lead his team to success.
