The ex-Liverpool midfielder was not shy about praising the Gunners, saying that Arsenal has been by far the most entertaining side to watch in the Premier League.
What did Jamie Redknapp say about Arsenal?
In his recent interview with Sky Sports, Jamie said that Leicester City’s title win in the 2015-16 season was probably the most spectacular he has witnessed. “I don’t think it will ever be beaten. But from where Arsenal were, if they were to win the title, it would go down as one of the great Premier League achievements,” he said.
Redknapp then went on to praise the Gunners’ fans. “I’m talking about the power of the people, and I think when you’ve got that belief at the Emirates, there’s such positivity about the place. They believe in this team, they believe in the manager, and that helps so much.”
“Even if they make a mistake they’re still with the team, and the fact they scored a last-minute winner. This is going to go right down to the last game possibly. They’ve got good fixtures coming up at the end of the season, who knows? I think that Man City away game is going to be key.”
The Englishman then praised the mental strength of the Gunners. “This is a different Arsenal. They’re going to have problems and challenges but this team right now mentally is so strong.”
Jamie also spoke highly of Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta. “The job Mikel Arteta has done after picking his team up from last year when they must have been on the floor. I remember when they lost to Tottenham 3-0. I wondered where he was going to go. The way he’s picked them up, they’re blowing teams away.”
