Ex-NBA star Dennis Rodman opens up on his friendship with Kim Jong Un, claims to reject Supreme Leader of North Korea’s request

Dennis Rodman, the former Chicago Bulls Power forward, discussed his strange connection and strong ties with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un in a recent appearance on VladTV. The head of state even offered to purchase Rodman a property in the country hoping that he would eventually retire there.

Rodman was treated like a state guest by the North Korean leader, who went out of his way to make him feel welcome. Though Rodman’s numerous trips and strong connections with Kim Jong-Un led to many questions, particularly among American government organizations, the former NBA star has denied the presence of any ulterior motives.

Rodman spoke with DJ Vlad about Kim Jong-Un’s exceptional hospitality and generous invitation for him to relocate permanently to North Korea. He shared, “He even helped me. He even drove me around with his cars to find me a condo. And that’s a true story.”

When asked if Kim wanted him to live in North Korea, Rodman replied, “Yeah, he wanted me to be important. I said, ‘Dude, I can’t do this.’ Because when he brought this, looking for condos for me to live there, I’m like ‘Uh, that means actually never come back here.'”

Rodman chose to remain loyal to his country and denied being a permanent resident of North Korea. While still being open to having a vacation home there, he ultimately stayed in his home country, honoring his identity and national ties.
