Ex-NFL QB Jay Cutler Arrested for DUI in Williamson County

Crime doesn’t care about fame or status, and Jay Cutler is now facing the consequences. The arrest of the former NFL star for driving under the influence (DUI) in Williamson County, Tennessee, late Thursday night made headlines. Within a few hours, this news spread like wildfire in the sports world.

After a small car crash in downtown Franklin, police arrested 41-year-old Jay Cutler, who played for the Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, and Miami Dolphins. According to sources, police responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Bridge Street, where Cutler had hit another car from behind.

While asking, police noticed that Cutler smelt strongly of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Cops took Cutler to a nearby hospital to get his blood drawn because he refused to take a field sobriety test.

When they searched his car, they discovered two guns, one of which was a pistol that had been fired. The jail records indicate that they arrested Cutler shortly before 7 p.m.

Jay Cutler Released on Same Evening After DUI Arrest

Jay Cutler’s arrest case was not serious enough for major charges, as it was a minor accident. Fortunately, no one sustained injuries, ensuring the situation remained under control. The same evening, around 9 p.m., after paying a fine, they released him.

Given that he had loaded guns in his car and was driving under the influence, he faced a fine of $5,000. However, for someone like Cutler, a former NFL star, this amount is minor, and he was able to leave within a few hours.
