Aaron Rodgers has made a fresh start in 2023 with a new team in a new city and with a new jersey number, all this probably feels heavenly for the quarterback who once went through a depression period and was on the way to bade the NFL world.
The four-time MVP expressed his desire to leave the Packers on the Pat McAfee show and his intention to sign with the Jets. Before his trade, the Jets quarterback gave the team a list of free agents he’d wanted as a teammate of him on the Jets’ roster, including Randall Cobb and both players ended up in New York as a result.
Randal Cobbs’ opinion on Rodgers’ fresh start
The 18-year-old veteran played for the Packers, helping them win the Super Bowl in 2011, making consecutive appearances in divisional games, and winning MVP four times. The quarterback started for the team for 15 years and played pretty much his entire NFL career in Green Bay, however, he began his new chapter with the New York Jets amid recurring drama and through a historic trade.
For the 39-year-old, this is a new beginning similar to when he joined the Packers in 2010, and on this occasion, his teammate Randall Cobb notices a great freshness in Rodgers’ approach. Additionally stating that he has yet to adjust to the change of the quarterback’s jersey number as he always referred to Aaron as “12.”
Randall Cobb, reunited with Aaron Rodgers, says he’s still getting accustomed to Rodgers’ new number (8) because he always called him “12.” Says there’s a “freshness” to Rodgers’ approach after 18 years in GB. #jets pic.twitter.com/cm9FnipFrs

Are Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb friends?
The friendship between Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb started during their time together in Green Bay, and over the course of their ten seasons together, they grew closer.
Fortunately, the WR and the QB reconnected in New York by chance, and Cobb joined Tim Boyle, Billy Turner, and fellow receiver Allen Lazard as A-Rod’s fourth former Green Bay teammate to visit this offseason, leaving behind their locker room, used jersey number, and years of memories.
Cobb seems to be a perfect companion for AR, who could help the star from a teamwork aspect. Therefore, it is expected by many that the pair is going to give the Jets many victories going forward.
