Ex-Patriots linebacker Willie McGinest defends on surfaced video of him assaulting a patron at a West Hollywood nightclub

William McGinest is considered a tremendous linebacker after winning three Super Bowls and two Pro Bowls in twelve seasons while also leading postseason sacks and joining the New England Patriots Hall of Fame in 2015.

Appearing in multiple films like SWAT (2017), Scorpion (2014), and I Tried (2007), McGinest gained a lot of attention outside the playing yards. However, in recent times his life has been no less than a movie with Willie being the villain.

The Ex-Patriots linebacker is going through a tough time as he is charged with the allegation of “felony assault” earlier this month– “He punched a man and then smashed a bottle on his head at an LA hotspot.”

However, even with the evident video going viral left and right, the 51-year-old McGinest, an NFL Network analyst, defended himself on social media suggesting “Things aren’t always how they seem at first glance,” and “The truth will prevail” days after being jailed for viciously beating a man with a glass bottle.

Things aren’t always how they seem at first glance. The truth will prevail.

The incident occurred at Delilah- a West Hollywood nightclub- on December 9th when Willie brutally beat up an unknown man with a group of men. Yet McGinest managed to bail out from the situation on Monday at 9:46 AM with a $30,000 bill.

Consequences

Willie’s outrageous behavior is costing him penalties from the NFL- “We are aware of the incident and the video, which is disturbing. Willie McGinest will not appear on NFL Network while we review the matter,” as per TMZ Sports, NFL Network reported.

On the other hand, the fan-boy charm has drastically shifted towards hatred, as many people are tweeting against the former linebacker.

“So it appears as though the word Patriots meant nothing to this guy, great!” a fan replied.

McGinest needs to back his statement with concrete evidence, or it will be the end of the line for him.
