A week ago, Max Holloway experienced amusement in the main event of Kansas City Fight Night as he was victorious. Max, recently declared his desire for a rematch with Conor McGregor, even if it means moving up to welterweight.
Holloway defeated Arnold Allen in a thrilling match at the T-Mobile Arena in Kansas City. Blessed finally overcame Allen by majority decision following a challenging five-round mixed martial arts exhibition (49-46, 49-46, 48-47). He seems to be shooting high and there doesn’t seem to be any stopping ‘Blessed’.

What did Max Holloway have to say about his rematch with Conor McGregor?
Max would undoubtedly have his sights set on winning the title since he was the previous featherweight champion. He intends to challenge Alexander Volkanovski for the title, it seems. However, in an interview with the MMA Hour, the division’s No. 2 fighter discussed his other career goals, including the one involving Conor.
“I would love to fight Conor. I was the only guy that took Conor to a decision at 145, and he’s big right now, we’ll see what happens. I know he wants to come back, and that would be a fight that is super interesting, super fun.” said Max.
Holloway thinks UFC fans are already excited about him taking on The Notorious once again. Conor is scheduled to fight Michael Chandler in the latter part of this year. The former lightweight kingpin couldn’t fight for two years due to a deadly leg injury. But now that the Irishman is back, Max thinks fans want a rematch.
Max intends to face McGregor in which division?
In UFC Fight Night 26 ten years ago, Blessed faced The Notorious for the first time. Since then, a lot has changed. Conor went on to win championships in two different weight classes, while Max also got the opportunity to touch the magnificent featherweight belt a few years later. Therefore, it is appropriate to ask which division Max intends to compete in against the Mystic Mac now that Conor is a big man.
“At the end of the day it’s not even a weight thing bro. I’d fight him open weight, whatever the commission will tell us, just show up at the weight bro. I’d just like to test him. Yeah, [I’d fight him at welterweight], just show up.” Max added.
