Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay announced their joint bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup. This would be the first time the tournament is held in South America since the 1978 World Cup in Argentina.
The joint bid showcases the strong cooperation and collaboration between the four nations, and their commitment to the growth and development of football in the region.

The Conmobel hierarchy went on to launch an event for the Argentine Football Association (AFA) in Ezeiza, south of Buenos Aires and the president was also in attendance with them.
“We are convinced that FIFA has an obligation to honor the memory of those who organized the first World Cup,” Alejandro Dominguez, president of the Conmebol South American federation, said in Argentina.
“FIFA should honor the legacies of South American icons Pele and Diego Maradona by awarding the centennial 2030 World Cup to the continent. Uruguay was the first-ever world champion in 1930, beating Argentina 4-2 in the final of the 13-team World Cup it hosted in Montevideo. So, we want World Cup to come to our continent.”

Earlier, Saudi Arabia expressed their desire to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup and is trying their level best to bring the greatest show on earth back to the Middle East after a successful campaign in 2022, thanks to Qatar.
The United States, Mexico, and Canada have also jointly bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup which was announced in August 2018 and is still in the bidding process. The final decision on the host country for the 2030 World Cup will be made by FIFA in the coming years.
Some high-profile players have been involved in promoting World Cup bids in the past, there is an indication that suggests that either Messi or Ronaldo will team up to endorse Saudi Arabia’s bid at this time.

It will be really interesting to see who will pull off the bidding home to host the greatest show on the planet, but it is promised to be one heck of a scrimmage between the bidders.
