The incredible run of The Brawling Brutes was terminated by Pretty Deadly in the No. 1 Contenders’ Tag Team Gauntlet Match. Thus giving them the hard-fought victory and a match for the Tag Team Undisputed WWE Championship.
The match is set for the June 30 episode of SmackDown because the champions want to disrupt Pretty Deadly’s homecoming before WWE Money in the Bank. Hence, will Zayn & Owens return in the championship after Money in the Bank weekend in London, or are the crowns “coming home” to England?
Sami Zayn, K.O to face shock defeat?
Elton Prince and Kit Wilson’s shenanigans weren’t exactly Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens’ cup of tea, but the blue brand newbies left before any altercations could start. A Gauntlet Match was held on the most recent edition of WWE SmackDown to decide who will face Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles.
Pretty Deadly prevailed in the bout, earning a chance to challenge for the belts on SmackDown in London. Following the Friday Night show, the new challengers addressed the champions in a letter. The Brawling Brutes ran through the top SmackDown teams to start the Gauntlet Match. But Pretty Deadly managed to seize the opportunity, win, and reserve their seats in the UK. In the past, Kit Wilson and Elton Prince both took home gold for the organization.

They quite convincingly won the Tag Team Title of NXT UK and the NXT Tag Team Championships before penetrating the WWE main roster. In theory, Pretty Deadly does have a point because they have wrestled together more frequently than their opponents in recent years and because they really get along. This isn’t always the case with KO and Sami, especially if the former becomes agitated for any reason.
