Giannis Antotokounmpo is one of the best players in the NBA, and for the majority of the community, he is the best player in the Milwaukee Bucks, but unlike them, former power forward Kevin Garnett thinks of someone else in the franchise.
Giannis joined the Bucks after being drafted with the 15th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft and started to rock the league from his rookie season. Since then, he has won the championship and final MVP award in 2021, as well as being named an All-Star seven times and Most Valuable Player twice in his ten-year career.
However, all these achievements don’t appear impressive to Kevin much, since he picked his best Bucks player based on recent performance.
Who did Kevin Garnett pick as his best player?
In the ‘KG Certified’ podcast, the 46-year-old praised the Bucks’ Jrue Holiday and named him the best player now. “You watching Jrue Holiday? You’re watching Jrue Holiday pick up De’Aaron Fox? He’ll take the big three, come down, and get the strip,” he got excited watching Jrue play.
“He’s the Bucks’ best player right now. Jrue Holiday is fu*#*ng leading the pack when it comes to the Bucks,” the 15-time NBA all-star said. “He has been out for a couple of games. For the second half of the season, he’s been their best player to me.”

There’s no denying the 32-year-old’s contribution to the franchise lately, and it seems he got Garnett hooked up pretty smoothly. But somehow it feels like the 6.5-footer is shadowed in the excellence of Antetokounmpo.
The two-time NBA all-star scored on average 19.2 points with 5.1 rebounds and 7.3 assists in 59 appearances this season. However, while the stat may not appear impressive in comparison to the Greek Freak, the former Celtics star is adamant in his opinion.
Every player on the team contributes as much as they can from their position, and in this context, Holiday’s effort and influence shouldn’t be belittled by comparing stats.
