The Baltimore Ravens have signed former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to a one-year deal worth $6 million. This means the 32-year-old is staying in the AFC and will play the next season wearing Baltimore’s jersey.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Ravens have signed the five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver to their roster. He will be teaming up with quarterback Lamar Jackson.
The 32-year-old receiver has lots of experience and a great track record. In his 12 NFL seasons, he’s racked up 12,965 receiving yards and 83 touchdowns on 984 catches.
Last season with the Chiefs, he played 10 games and posted 41 catches for 437 yards and 4 touchdowns, though his performance was a bit up and down.

With Lamar Jackson leading the offense, his addition is expected to make the team’s receiving group even stronger, joining forces with Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.
Hopkins’ signing is great news for the team that seems to be bolstering the roster for the playoffs. Meanwhile, there are some reports that a few teams are trying to mess with Ravens’ Ronnie Stanley’s contract. The NFL sees this as a rule violation and is looking into it.
3 NFL teams face punishment for tampering with Ravens star
Three NFL teams are in big trouble for trying to sign Baltimore Ravens star Ronnie Stanley while he was still under contract. The teams involved are the Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Commanders, and New England Patriots.
Baltimore had already agreed to a three-year, $60 million contract extension with Stanley. But reports say the Chiefs offered him around $20 million a year, while the Commanders and Patriots both offered over $24 million per season.

The NFL hasn’t confirmed any rules were broken yet. If they find tampering happened, the teams could face fines, lose draft picks, or get other punishments. The ML Football X/Twitter account pointed out that trying to sign Stanley while he was still under contract might count as tampering.
