Sadly, the basketball world is now mourning his loss after he reportedly fell from a high-rise apartment building in Moscow.
The 32-year-old was found dead at the entrance of a residential building on Monday. The incident happened on the birthday of his ex-wife, Ukrainian singer and actress Anna Sedokova, raising questions about their relationship.
Timma and Sedokova married on September 6, 2020, but the relationship was rocky. Sedokova filed for divorce this fall, and they officially separated in September, though they were reportedly still in touch.

Russian authorities are investigating Timmaâs death, suspecting it may be suicide. According to reports, they found a phone near his body with a message from Sedokova requesting a callback. Itâs unclear if they spoke before his passing.

Even though they were divorced, reports say Janis Timma and his ex-wife were still in touch. His sudden death has left her heartbroken. In her tearful IG post, Sedokova shared how hard the past few years have been. She also requested that their child not be exposed to the details of Timma’s death.
She noted, âI’ve wondered my whole life how people who have something like this happen to them can still post stories and now, I’m asking you very strongly â I have a child, he’s small, he doesn’t need to know any of this.â
