Former NFL star Chad Johnson gushed about the new Panthers’ member Adam Thielen, referring to him as “the smoothest and most effortless route runner” following his new deal.
The former Cincinnati Bengals Chad Johnson caught 766 passes for 11,059 yards and 67 touchdowns in his 11 seasons with the Bengals and the Patriots, grabbing six Pro Bowls and two All-Pro teams, both first-team.
Earlier this 45-years old hit the headlines by stating that he saved money living in the Cincinnati Bengals’ Stadium in the first two years of his career instead of lavishing money on a new house, and never got tempted to splash out on expensive clothes and fast cars.
Popular sports analyst Pat McAfee first tweeted the news of former Vikings Adam Thielen signing a 3-year deal with the Panthers, and the 3 times Pro Bowler didn’t take much time to confirm the rumor as he retweeted the tweet with an interesting happily dancing gif.

What did Chad Johnson tell about Thielen’s trade?
Following the news of the deal, former NFL star Chad Johnson raved about Thielen by remarking Thielen as “one of the smoothest most effortless route runners” and how the addition of him is going to benefit the Panthers.
Holy shit Adam Thielen to the Panthers, one of the smoothest most effortless route runners, not sure if this will make sense unless you’re a real football fan but his movement is equivalent to Arian Foster, it’s like he’s floating with no wasted movement 💭

The Panthers had to quickly come up with a suitable substitute for ace WR DJ Moore to strengthen their offensive line after moving him to the Chicago Bears in exchange for the first overall choice in the NFL Draft, and fortunately, Thielen can fit the role well.
The 3 times Pro Bowler grew up in Minnesota and spent his whole academic life in the state. After signing with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2013, Thielen continued nine seasons with the team.
According to NFL.com’s Kevin Patra, Minnesota State Product had regular discussions with Thielen about renegotiating his contract to lower the $19.97 million cap charge this season, yet they were unable to reach an agreement, causing the Minnesota Vikings to release the hometown receiver.
As the Panthers continue their training camp and prepare for the start of the regular season, all eyes will be on Adam Thielen to see if he can live up to the expectations of the team.
