Artem Lobov, Conor McGregor’s former sparring partner, filed a second lawsuit last December regarding Conor’s social media post, but the judge rejected the defamation application, and the judge decided last Wednesday that the Russian fighter will pay the court fees for the lawsuit trial.
The honorable judge considers that those social media posts are basic freedom of expression for Conor, so there will be no consideration of defamation, but the court will wait for the final verdict of the other lawsuit to come out, and after that, Lobov will have to pay the fees.

Conor and Lobov were close friends until the Russian hammer claimed he was responsible for 5% of the Irish Proper 12 whisky brand sale, the 34-year-old didn’t share the money with him after selling the shares, and Lobov filed the first lawsuit.
After the lawsuit Conor started calling Lobov a “rat” and even offered him a fight to settle down everything on the octagon
Last December, the court procedure started, and the first-round verdict was in favor of the Irish fighter, as the case would not feature in the first Irish commercial court due to a lack of credible evidence.

In the hearings, Conor’s lawyers presented some private messages in court where the Russian fighter stated several times that he didn’t want money from the deal. One of the messages from Lobov is:
“Let me start by saying that I swear on my child’s life I will NOT take a cent out of the whiskey deal!!!. That is something I enjoyed doing, and the thought of knowing that I helped you with something keeps me warm on the coldest of nights.”
The next hearing on the trail will be held on March 20, 2023, and amidst all this chaos, Mystic Mac is busy shooting and promoting his upcoming Hollywood action film, Road House.
