Former Vikings Adam Thielen is currently on cloud nine as he is going to enlist his name in the Carolina Panthers’ roster by signing a 3-year deal.
Thielen made an incredible contribution to the Vikings team last season by catching 70 passes for 716 yards, and 6 touchdowns. In his overall 135 regular season games, the pro WR tailed 6,882 yards with 55 touchdowns.
Seemingly, Adam Thielen, the No.1 wide receiver of the Vikings fell into the No.2 role as their other receiver Justin Jefferson established himself as the top pick.
Popular sports analyst Pat McAfee earlier tweeted confirming the trade saying “According to my source(s), @athielen19 is signing with the Carolina Panthers. The 3 times Pro Bowler has agreed to a 3-year deal. The 32-year-old feels GREAT.. according to my source(s).”
Adam Thielen confirmed the news by retweeting the tweet with a funny gif.

The 32- year old also shared an Instagram story out of excitement where his children were seen celebrating his new contract.
The veteran receiver found his next home after spending a decade in Minnesota. Thielen signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2013, however, he didn’t appear in the match during his rookie season and started playing on special teams the next year.
According to NFL.com’s Kevin Patra, Minnesota State Product was in frequent talks with the former Vikings to restructure his deal by reducing the $19.97 million cap hit this season, albeit they failed to reach any conclusion, causing the Minnesota Vikings to release Thielen on March 10.
Following his release, the Vikings manager GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah stated, “Adam will forever be a part of the Minnesota Vikings family and history. Setting the standard with his play on the field, being a selfless teammate, and making a permanent impact in the community, Adam’s influence is significant.”
“We are grateful for everything he brought to the Vikings organization since arriving in 2013, and I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to work with him over the last year. He is the best representation of what the Minnesota Vikings should stand for. I wish nothing but the best for Adam, Caitlin, and their entire family,” he added further.
The Panthers camp also made some big moves by signing former Philly running back Miles Sanders and former Bengals tight end Hayden Hurts alongside Thielen to boost up their offensive side. The veteran WR is going to join Terrace Marshall Jr., Shi Smith, and Laviska Shenaultn.
With Thielen now on board, the Panthers will be hoping to build on their promising upcoming season and make a deep playoff run in the upcoming year. Fans are also eagerly anticipating seeing what the team can accomplish with their new roster additions.
