WWE released former World Champion Jinder Mahal earlier this year on April 19. At his peak, he was the top Asian superstar in the men’s division. He is now having a great time on the indie circuit and became the Stu Hart Heritage Champion. Recently, he shared a backstage secret about how WWE superstars hide under the ring during matches.
During an appearance on former WWE star Maven Huffman’s YouTube channel, Mahal explained the process in detail, shedding light on a long-standing mystery for wrestling fans. shared that during commercial breaks or video packages, the lights in the arena go dark, allowing superstars to sneak under the ring without being noticed.
He mentioned that there is a small mat under the ring, often referred to as a “bed,” where wrestlers can rest and watch the monitor until it’s time for them to re-enter the match. He added, “There is a gentleman by the name of Nick Daw who is under there with a monitor.“
Jinder Mahal then explained, “They have got water bottles down there, they’ve got diet Cokes, Red Bulls. So you have your bed, you’ve got your monitor, and Nick actually has a headset to the producers.”
This revelation has provided fans with a fascinating glimpse into the logistics of WWE matches and how superstars execute certain spots seamlessly. In the meantime, after his release, many speculated that Jinder Mahal might join Tony Khan’s AEW. He even responded to these social media rumors at one point.
