FOX Sports sideline reporter Erin Andrews has revealed some surprising details about her career journey, including what she considers her “worst job” before covering the Super Bowl.
As a new college graduate, she was excited to begin her journey in sports broadcasting. But her first job threw her into a game she barely understood. In a discussion on ELLE.com’s series Office Hours, Andrews talked about the challenges she faced early in her career.
She also revealed what she calls her “worst job.” While these stories may not be life-changing, they’re fascinating and fun to know.
“I was a ride operator at Adventure Island in Tampa, Florida,” Andrews recalled. Back then, she was more focused on getting a good tan than worrying about sun damage. But working there had its dangers—especially during storms.
“I remember we were getting everybody off the ride, and it was a tube slide, so I had to ride down last. It was like a scene from Twister.” It sounds like a scary moment, but definitely a story to remember.
Erin Andrews reveals health battle before Super Bowl LIX
As Super Bowl LIX gets closer, FOX Sports sideline reporter Erin Andrews has shared a personal health struggle. She recently revealed that she is one of 38 million Americans living with dry eye disease.
At first, Andrews thought her eye discomfort was just from spending too much time on screens. She said, “I thought maybe it was just because I’m looking at my screen so much—my eyes always kind of feel a little scratchy, gritty. I’m always like wiping them or trying to blink.”

However, after consulting with her doctor, she learned how idiot she was. She was actually dealing with dry eye disease, a condition she never expected to have.
