Valorant has never ceased to amaze its fans with new updates and features. With the recent release of Episode 8 Act 1, a lot of new features have been added to the game, satisfactory enough for the gamers to be kept entertained.
But in the recent patch 8.0, under an unprecedented event, a new weapon has been added to adhere to the needs of the game’s changing dynamics. Along with the weapon, other features like a new map pool, Valorant Premier, and a new bundle have arrived, but what remains controversial is the newly added gun.
Valorant introduces new weapon with latest update
Outlaw is the first weapon that has been added since the very beginning of the game. The outlaw is a double-barreled semi-automatic sniper rifle designed to kill at a much faster rate. It sits between an expensive Operator and a relatively less powerful Marshal.
Priced at just 2400 credits, this sniper can hold two bullets at a time and stay zoomed in after a shot.
“We felt there was a gap in the arsenal that could be filled between the Marshal and Operator in terms of power and price, and we wanted more options to support the sniper playstyle,” said Nick Smith, Game Designer II and Sal Garozzo, Game Design Architect.
For all the snipers, it can deliver maximum damage at a lower price, especially to those wearing light armor with one shot to the body. It’s ability to fire two powerful shots rapidly without braking zoom on your scope is an added advantage that can dominate the whole game.
Games urge developers to remove new Outlaw gun
With the new Outlaw available among the 17 other weapons, this gun has proven to be extremely lethal, overpowering the whole game with just one shot.
After a few hours of the weapons arrival, many fans have already given them a harsh welcome. They say that it is overpowered and too cheap. This weapon costs only 2400 credits, making it incredibly cheap. With its insane stats, it has been overpowering all the other weapons.
Removing the weapon just one day after it’s been added feels a little bit extreme, and some reactions are just exaggerated. However, the Outlaw Sniper is overpowered and is arguably the strongest weapon in the game right now.
The fans have said, “If this is all true it’s the most broken gun in the game of all time. And that’s not an over exaggeration. That fire rate is an insta kill 2 tap across the map, high pen, no scope accurate and 1 shot light armor. Not to mention you could buy this r2 after losing pistol with plant”.
Gamers have gone over to criticize the fact that the gun’s one-shot, one-kill feature has been overpowering all the guns. This has led to the other players who don’t choose to go with the gun feeling that the battlefield is one sided.
