Games of the Future 2024 Mobile Legends Event: Schedule, teams, prize pool
The Games of the Future took place in Kazan, Russia, from February 26 to March 3. Three teams qualified for the physical games, while the others were invited to the event. The prize pool had a total of 1 million dollars, with the winners receiving $350,000.
The teams were divided into four groups. Groups B and D received attention due to the presence of AP Bren and ONIC.
Group A: Burmese Ghouls, Deus Vult, RRQ Hoshi, and Team Lilgun
Group B: AP Bren, HomeBois, S2G Esports, Twisted Minds
Group C: Blacklist International, Fire Flux Esports, Nightmare Esports, and Royal Cybersports Club
Group D: BURN X Flash, Keepbest Gaming, ONIC Esports, Team Flash
Every team played two matches, with the bottom team getting eliminated from the group stage. The second and third-placed teams played in the first round of the playoffs, with the winners meeting the group stage champions in the quarterfinals.
RRQ Hoshi, AP Bren, and Fireflux Esports won the quarterfinals by a 2-0 score. ONIC beat RCC 2-1 in the last elimination match.
Both finalists from the M5 Championship progressed to the finals, with AP Bren beating RRQ Hoshi by a 2-1 scoreline while ONIC beat Fire FLux Esports by a margin of 2-0.
Fans were anticipating that ONIC could turn the tide this time around after getting very close last year. But AP Bren proved their mettle, being the best in the world, by beating them 3-1. This marks their third win in a major ML:BB tournament, having won 2 World Championships previously.

FireFlux Esports did well after losing their first group-stage match. They won the next three matches before losing to ONIC in the semifinal. To be frank, every team that qualified for the last four performed well, but AP Bren maintained their dominance and emerged victorious.
