The latest trailer showcasing the arrival of a new hero in Farlight 84 got a different reaction from the players. This was not something that Lilith Games was hoping for.
The developers behind the popular multiplayer game Farlight 84 were already under the pump. Gamers were not happy about the decision to remove jetpacks from the game. Now, they are letting the developers know that they want the feature back. Their recent rodeo was in the comments section of the trailer, showcasing Farlight 84’s latest update.
Farlight 84 drops new trailers
Lilith Games dropped the latest update of Farlight 84 (v2.1.0.0). It brought new events, battle pass items, and a new hero. In fact, the teaser for the new hero was released on YouTube last week.
Freddie, the new hero, has many abilities, which make him an exciting addition to the game. He can create a mechanical clone that can track enemies and has a useful self-destruct feature to inflict damage on enemies. There is a Data Backup feature to provide automatic consciousness transfer. The Digital Blockade aims to restrain enemy movement and slow them down.
The biggest new feature has to be the arrival of Jetslide. All heroes can now slide while shooting, reloading, and aiming. This makes the movements a little faster and is mainly complementing the removal of Jectpacks.
Fans want jetpacks back in Farlight 84
But the fans seem hellbent on getting back the Jetpack. The comments on Freddie’s trailer were full of requests for jetpacks to be brought back. Fans were not even excited about the new hero; some even pointed out that developers had stopped listening to the gamer’s requests.
Popular Esports players had shared the same sentiment that Jetpack was the identity of Farlight 84. For someone new to the game, it provided ease of blending in. Many were saying the game mechanisms felt different after jetpacks were removed.
Jetpack was by far Farlight 84’s standout feature. In a time where we have no shortage of multiplayer titles for smartphones, Farlight provided a unique take on its combat system. Using the jetpack, players could manoeuvre quickly from one place to another. Some even compared its speed to Apex Legends.
The developers said in a statement that the move was to balance the game and remove the tendency of gamers to focus only on jetpacks. They were planning to introduce a few heroes with the ability to move faster to compensate for this change.
