Switching jobs can sometimes be tough, especially when you spend most of your time with your co-workers and create a bond of friendship.
However, getting a call from the dream job, anyone will decide to switch as they worked for that particular opportunity. Ran Carthon always dreamt of becoming the GM of an NFL team, and now his long-awaited desire has been fulfilled as he is the new GM of the Titans.
Moreover, the team is already done with the formal introduction of the GM. Following the event, many of his previous co-workers congratulated him for finally fulfilling his goal.
Ran used to work with the San Fransico 49ers, where he was the director of player personnel for the last two. During that time, he made a good bond with defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans.
Carthon becoming the general manager of the Titans, Ryans addresses the Titans team in a press conference and says that they found “a dynamic leader” in Ran Carthon.
What did DeMeco Ryans say regarding Ran Carthon in the press conference?
The 49ers will play their divisional match against the Cowboys, and before the match, Ryans sat with the reporter at a press conference. When the defensive coordinator was asked about Carthon’s new job, DeMeco went on to say,
“I think with Ran; the Titans are getting a dynamic leader. That’s what Ran is. Ran has been a fantastic leader since the first day I met him here. He’s very knowledgeable about personnel, college, and the pro side. He’s a very knowledgeable guy, very well-connected, knows a lot of people, knows a lot about football.”
“Seeing it from a lot of different perspectives with his father being a coach, him being a former player in the NFL as well, so he’s seen it on all facets, and he’s done a really good job of scouting really good talent and really helping us to acquire some really good talent here, so I wish Ran nothing but the best,” he added.
Ryans further went on to express that he is “proud” of Carthon, stating, “I know he will do a fantastic job in Tennessee, and I couldn’t be prouder of Ran and the work that he’s done and to see him get the GM job there, it’s really cool to see, and I’m proud of him. I’m happy for him.”
Ran will hope that he can live up to all the expectations and try to make the Titans team a better franchise.
