The Milwaukee Bucks vs. Boston Celtics games produced a lot of heat and misery for the host as Thanasis Antetokounmpo got ejected after headbutting Celtics’ Blake Griffin at the Fiserv Forum.
The Bucks sustained a shambolic defeat against the Celtics by a 41-point difference on Thursday night. The Bucks star Giannis was also subpar on that night, but his brother poured water on the drowning mouse by getting ejected after committing a flagrant foul during the final minutes of the fourth quarter.
The hardship extends further as Thanasis’ action brought more unnecessary attention to him, and the NBA is delivering the consequences for his action.
What did the NBA decide to do with Thanasis Antetokounmpo?
The NBA decided to issue a one-game suspension without pay for the 30-year-old forward for his flagrant foul No. 2 and ejection.

The 6.7-footer headbutted the Celtics’ Griffin after the latter handled him in a quite harsh way, and the headbutt caused a scuffle on the court momentarily. The officials took control of the game and showed Antetokounmpo the tunnel while giving Blake a flagrant foul.

Prior to his ejection, the forward played for eight minutes after coming off the bench and scored only one point and one assist. He will serve the suspension in the game against the Philadelphia 76ers tonight.
The Celtics Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown scored 40 and 30 points, respectively, in securing the colossal win. With this win, they solidify their position in second place in the conference, just behind the host.
Giannis’ brother joined the Bucks in 2019 and has scored on average 2.6 points with 1.8 rebounds and committed 1.1 personal fouls per game in 158 appearances so far. He only played 8.2 minutes per game off the bench in these four years for the Bucks.
Despite their loss, the Buckeyes are still at the top of the Eastern Conference with a .714 record and five more games at hand to hold the place. They already secured the playoff spot by winning the division.
