Bret Hart’s hatred towards Goldberg is nothing new to the table, but recently he publicly opened up about it and gave his opinion of the former WCW world heavyweight champion. Moreover, Hart doesn’t like the idea of Goldberg being in the WWE Hall of Fame. The former WWE star thinks there are so many wrestlers that are better candidates to be in the “Hall of Fame” than the 55-year-old star.
The hitman elucidated his opinion on the incident at a recent autograph signing with K & S WrestleFest. “Goldberg being in the Hall of Fame is nothing but a joke, instead of Goldberg, there should be Horowitz or someone else who can actually wrestle.”
The enmity between these two stars started a while back, from an unfortunate incident where Hart got a concussion. That ended in the uncertain retirement of the Hitman. In that autograph signing, Hart bashed the Hall of Famer. “I would have loved to have worked with Brock Lesnar, just because I always heard he was a good pro in the ring. The opposite of Goldberg.”
Later, he got somewhat carried away with the Goldberg and Hall of Fame issue, stating, “I always thought that if Goldberg got into the Hall of Fame, that Horowitz should have gotten into the Hall of Fame, just because Horowitz could actually wrestle. Goldberg never could. I don’t know what Goldberg got into the Hall of Fame for. I think he got in there for hurting everybody he worked with. ”
On that note, Goldberg recently shared his views on the matter. What happened to Bret still bothers him. And now it seems like he is done apologizing for that matter. In the “Talk Is Jericho” podcast, the 55-year-old wrestler stated that he is done saying sorry. He is really feeling guilt over how Bret’s career ended because of him. In the end, Goldberg claimed, he moved on from that matter, unlike Hart.
