UFC welterweight champion Kamaru “The Nigerian Nightmare” Usman has shared a touching post on his Instagram story. He is seen hugging his daughter Samirah Usman. Samirah is Kamaru’s first and only child with his wife Eleslie Dietzsch.
Kamaru Usman is one of the most successful and dominant UFC champions of all time. He is undefeated in the UFC and has had 5 successful title defenses. With a stellar MMA record of 20 wins and 1 loss, Kamaru is a force to be reckoned with.
He has effectively swept up the entire welterweight division and is the current top fighter in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings. Despite his intimidating stature and nickname “The Nigerian Nightmare” he has a soft side, that too for his 8 year old daughter, Samirah.
Kamaru posted the Instagram story, captioning it as “Greatful”, he has misspelled the word “Grateful”. Although his spelling needs work, his post is still heartfelt and genuine.
Kamaru’s daughter was with him when he won the championship from Tyrone Woodley in 2019, back then she was only five years old. She was born when Kamaru was a struggling fighter far away from the UFC. Kamaru Usman lost the second fight of his MMA career to Jose Caceres via a rear-naked choke. This remains the only blemish on his otherwise perfect fighting record!
Kamaru’s inspiration to fight and have a champion mentality comes from his wife and daughter.
