Matthew Farrelly, also known as Grayson Waller, has been a member of WWE since his debut on June 20, 2021, at WWE 205 Live. Waller has shared the ring with some of the best WWE legends, like John Cena and Edge. Grayson is a top name on the blue brand and has a lot of great matches in SmackDown.
The 33-year-old superstar has been in a lot of controversies due to his comments on other celebrities, and recently he posted on his official Twitter/X account to insult the Detroit Pistons in a clip, which led to a feud with the State Senate.
Grayson Waller upsets Pistons fans with recent post
Grayson Waller has incredible mic skills and has proven his terror since his debut on the main roster. Recently, in a WWE live show event on December 27th that took place in Michigan at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, the superstar, while describing his feelings about performing in Little Caesars Arena, said he was honored and the following was “a crazy night.”
In a post from December 28, Waller went on to insult the Detroit Pistons, as they have the most consecutive losses in a single-season at 27 straight, Grayson addressed his views on the Pistons, “Getting to perform in the home of a historic basketball team, the Detroit Pistons — the most games lost in a row. This place sucks.”
The master of Rolling Thunder Stunner has also insulted Detroit even before the clip was posted. The superstar, although well liked, has been beefing with Detroit fans since the WWE Live event made him come to the city for the promotion.
In a Twitter post, the superstar said, “After the fun and joy of the festive season, it’s nice to be brought back to reality performing in the absolute dregs of the US in Detroit”.
Both posts were made by Waller and posted on the same day. Although fans were confused, they still took it as a joke. However, the Detroit fans took the offensive remark seriously and have reposted the tweet with their own view and criticism aimed at Grayson.
Waller gets trolled by Detroit Senator
Dayna Polehanki, a member of the Michigan Senate, took Grayson Waller’s insult and shared her own opinion. She insulted the Australian star in order to defend her city, which is the biggest in midwestern state of Michigan. Dayna posted a picture on Twitter/X of her attending the WWE event with her husband and stepdaughter.
Dayna Polehanki mentioned Grayson on her social media post with the following caption: “Here we go!!! My first ever WWE Live. Grayson Waller is insulting Detroit! Jabroni! #wwedetroit,”
During the event, Grayson had a match with Butch, in which he lost after Butch successfully executed his finishing move. Following his match, Polehanki took to Twitter to taunt the 33-year-old superstar for losing the match.
She said, “Hi Grayson, Just a reminder that you got your a** kicked tonight in the “armpit of America” by a long-haired short guy in a onesie.”
Although the WWE Live Holiday Tour show in Detroit was a cause for a number of dramas, it is clear from the results that the event was successful. A lot of WWE superstars had a fight at the event and fans were satisfied with the result. Some matches include Kevin Owens vs Solo Sikoa, in which Owens defeated Sikoa, and AJ Styles teamed up with The OC and defeated Austin Theory and Pretty Deadly.
Grayson Waller is set to appear in 2024’s premium event and fans hope to see the superstar in action on the last of the blue brand in 2023 of Friday Night SmackDown on December 29.
