After four years of promotion on the independent circuit, SmackDown superstar “Grayson Waller” made his WWE debut in 2021. As a new wrestler, he needed to garner a lot of attention before finally making it to the spotlight, but his loss to Rey Mysterio likely hurt his credibility quite a bit.
Following that event, John Cena is now set to make his comeback on WWE Smackdown Live on September 1st. Alongside John Cena’s comeback, the event will include two previously scheduled fights, the tag team match between Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar Vs. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller are set before Jimmy Uso returns to the show.
Grayson Waller and Austin Theory vs. Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar
Some fans believe that on the next SmackDown, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory could become the greatest tag team in wrestling history. The 33-year-old wrestler warned his followers on Twitter to be ready for this team.
This week on SmackDown, Waller had a battle with Rey Mysterio. Austin, who was often considered the number one prospect for the United States Champion Title, came out to help the young Australian wrestler, but Santos Escobar beat him up. Then, Mysterio beat Grayson with his phenomenal 619/Splash combo.
Following the encounter, American professional wrestling manager “Dutch Mantell” meant to see Waller and Theory in the same Tag Team because of their similar personalities and ability to provide great results in the ring. Furthermore, Mysterio and Grayson’s bond became stronger as a result of the last match, and both of them seems to have found a worthy tag team foe. So, WWE didn’t hesitate to schedule a rivalry tag team fight for this Friday.

Grayson Waller suffers huge loss at the hands of Rey Mysterio
In this week’s SmackDown, Grayson Waller challenged the United States Champion. But the arrogant Aussie was punished by a loss for insulting the Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. At one point, some spectators felt that the young guy may win this non-title bout due to Austin’s efforts to assist him. But Santos came out with surprises. He finished off Theory with a kick to the face. So, Mysterio’s 619/Splash combination was successful in taking care of Grayson.
