The Memphis Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant appeared on his Instagram live with a gun in his hand while partying with others at a strip club after Friday’s loss to Denver Nuggets.
Previously, in January, after the game against the Indiana Pacers, his entourage was involved in an altercation with the Pacers team while they were leaving the parking at the FedEx forum. Some of Ja’s fans were allegedly pointing guns at the Pacers team bus but in lack of evidence, the authority only banned them from premises.
However, the PG issued an apology statement later addressing fans, teammates, and others for his social media antics following the loss against Denver Nuggets.
What happened to Ja Morant?
It is not natural for the 23-year-old just apologize and accept the consequences as he established a persona of him being hot-headed and arrogant. Whatever, his recent antics got him a two-game suspension including the game against, Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers.
Moreover, the two-time NBA all-star deactivated his social media accounts even his notorious Instagram id. The fans are shocked at the youngster’s surprising stance though it felt like a teenage girl’s post-heartbroken phase.
Last year, a teenage boy filed a lawsuit against Morant for physical assault and threatening with a gun. The court had to drop the case for lack of evidence. He even assaulted a shopping mall guard around the time of the previous incident.
In light of his repetitive aggressive behavior, the 6.2-footer does not appear to be the type of person who would feel the need to apologize and deactivate his social media accounts. This time, he may have endured an unpleasant lesson that he deserved.
On the other hand, Ja is demonstrating an electrifying performance this season, scoring on average 27.1 points with 6.0 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game in 53 appearances.
