‘He Didn’t Play Well’ – JJ Redick on Bronny James’ Rough NBA Return

After playing several games in the G-League over the last three months, Lakers coach JJ Redick decided to give Bronny James a chance in a game against the 76ers. He wanted to see how Bronny’s skills measured up after his good performances in the G-League.

However, Bronny James disappointed his coach, scoring zero in his 15 minutes of playing, and then Redick shared his Hornets opinion in the postgame press conference.

Bronny had a tough time in his first big game after playing in the G League. He didn’t score any points, missing all 5 of his shots. He also had three turnovers in his 15 minutes of play. The Lakers lost to the 76ers, 118-104.

Coach Redick probably put Bronny in for his defense, but the 20-year-old didn’t do well. Even though some people think it was a bad idea to play him for 15 minutes, Redick still believes in him. However, he was critical of Bronny’s performance after the game.

JJ Redick said, “He didn’t play well, but he’s been playing great in the stay-ready games and in the [G League]. I have confidence in him. But obviously didn’t provide that at a high level.”

Fans rip Bronny James on social media after Lakers game

Bronny James showed promise in the G League, scoring well and giving fans hope that he could compete at the pro level. However, after the Los Angeles Lakers’ recent game against the Philadelphia 76ers, things took a turn. His performance was far from his best, and many fans on social media were quick to criticize him for struggling on the court.

@TheHateCentral wrote, “HIS NEW NICKNAME IS BJ…BECAUSE HE SUCKS 🔥🔥🔥.”

@LeotalksLakers noted, “JJ threw away this game by playing Bronny you disrespected your opponent and now look what happened.”

@JeffL05ANG3L35 tweeted, “Those bronny minutes were absolute fucking BS. No reason that dude should be playing on an NBA level rn. Also can’t be so incompetent without AD. Rebound the ball.”

@K_Earls32 said, “Bronny James better not see another minute in the NBA. Back to the G-League you go. Also, the stat-padding by LeBron and sloppy turnovers is inexcusable. Be better or sit one of the games for a B2B.”

@DGUNZ22 said, “Bronny played like trash last night and didn’t look like he should be on the court. 🤷🏿‍♂️.”
