The main event of UFC 284, which took place yesterday at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, was between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski. Makhachev defeated Alexander Volkanovski, the defending featherweight champion, and won a unanimous decision on all three judges’ scorecards (48-47, 48-47, and 49-46).
Joe Rogan, an American podcaster, expressed his thoughts and feelings live while the event was taking place and promptly reacted to the verdict made by the judges. In spite of the fact that the MMA enthusiast was almost certain that Volkanovski would be proclaimed the winner, Islam was the one who emerged victorious.
“Oh my God, look at (Islam) Makahchev, he realizes now. He realizes now, he just f*cking lost – 100 percent. Let’s hear it [the decision]. 48-47. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God.” Joe responded to the decision.

A fight between two of the world’s best pound-for-pound fighters would naturally be full of relentless action and entertainment, and that is exactly what fans got to witness for the full 25 minutes and five rounds. Both fighters came into the fight ready to show off their tremendous MMA prowess, thus many thought the decision could have gone either way.
” We were just – we were convinced – we might have been biased. We might have to watch it. I don’t know, I don’t think so. Let’s see what the online people think because, in my eyes, I thought it was 3-2 (to Alexander Volkanovski). Oh my God. This sucks. Listen to the crowd.” Joe further added.
After watching the fight tape, Volkanovski also revealed his thoughts, stating that he had won rounds 2, 3, and 5, but Islam believes that the Australian only had him in control in the closing minutes of the bout. Volkanovski offered a rematch with Islam Makhachev anytime soon.
