“He’ll always be a Patriot” Robert Kraft speaks on Tom Brady’s retirement from NFL

Following Tom Brady’s announcement of his retirement from the NFL after 23 seasons on Thursday, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft walked the red carpet at the Grammy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Before the ceremony began, Kraft chatted with Fox News Digital and praised the achievements of the star quarterback.

“I love him,” Robert stated. “He’ll always be a Patriot. I think [of] him for the two great decades and the six championships he helped us get.”

The 81-year-old Kraft was pictured at the event with Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, actor LL Cool J, and Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr.

“I always enjoy this as one of the great evenings in America,” Kraft stated to News Digital. “It brings people together. It brings cheer and it’s a celebration. I love it.”

Last Wednesday, Brady said he was “stepping down for good.” He shared a moving video on his social media profiles.

“Good morning, guys. I’ll get to the point right away,” Tom Brady stated on the video. “I’m retiring for good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time. So, when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first. So, I won’t be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year.”

“I really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me. My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors … I can go on forever. There’s too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream.”

“I wouldn’t change a thing.”

Since Brady’s announcement of his retirement, Kraft has expressed his desire to have him sign a one-day contract with the Patriots so that he may officially end his career with the club.
