“He’s a grouchy baby”: Vampire Diaries star Claire Holt brutally criticises Max Verstappen, revealing motivation behind her departure from watching F1

It’s a rather common practice among Hollywood celebrities to show their love for different sports either in person or on the internet. Aside from entertainment purposes, such moves also sometimes help strengthen their brand.

In an attempt to connect more with her fans, Claire Holt began a Q&A session through her Instagram Q&A feature. Fans asked pretty much ‘anything and everything’ under the sun about her life but one question stood out for racing fans, “Do you still watch F1?”

Claire Holt brutally criticizes Max Verstappen’s Dominance

Claire Rhiannon Holt is an Australian actress who is known for her roles as Emma Gilbert in H₂O: Just Add Water, Rebekah Mikaelson in The Vampire Diaries, etc. Apart from her lovely acting, she is also an avid F1 fan who has voiced her opinions before through various social media platforms.

To the question posed, Claire Holt replied “I love it but I’m tired of Max winning all the time. Also, I think he’s a grouchy baby and I’d like Checo to kick his ass.”

We heard it with Schumacher. We heard it with Hamilton and now we are hearing it with Max Verstappen. Everyone wants a good rivalry but when you become above par and chase excellence, sometimes you get too ahead of the pack. Just like Max Verstappen who leads the championship with 6 race wins out of 8 races so far.

Claire Holt is an enthusiastic F1 fan as she has been in the paddock many times with the last one being with WilliamsRacing. She is also close friends with the Brit star, Lewis Hamilton.

Max Verstappen wins back-to-back Canadian Grand Prix

Max Verstappen encumbered most drivers from even getting the taste of leading a race as he has been leading an astounding 74% of laps in the first eight races. This goes to show the lack of competition and the presence of unparalleled dominance previously exerted by Mercedes with Lewis Hamilton.

At the Canadian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen also equaled Ayrton Senna’s all-time record of race wins and got himself into the Hall of Fame. He is undergoing a chase of equalling the record of 103 race wins set by Lewis Hamilton in his W16.

Celebrities providing their insight about what they make of the sport should be completely normal. At the end of the day, they are also just fans of the sport we all love. Claire Holt received hate comments from Orange Army and that is clearly looked down upon by the entire F1 community.
