LeBron James has been an absolute legend of the NBA, and since he arrived in 2003 playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, James has risen like the “King” he is. Draymond Green, on his podcast The Draymond Green Show, reminds fans that he is the greatest player of this era and “the greatest face in NBA history.”
Green made this famous statement after he saw the “L-Train” trash the Hawks in his birthday game. Like most of us, Draymagic could not get his eyes off the King; he alone was enough to destroy his opponents with his clear game sense, charismatic agility, and insane basketball skills. The Akron Hammer not only led the Lakers to victory, 121-130, but also scored a memorable birthday forty-pointer.
What did Draymond Green say about LeBron James in his podcast?
Like most fans, Greens’ jaw dropped seeing LeBron perform the way he did, and he goes on to say,
“On LeBron’s birthday performance the other day, I mean, in Atlanta… 38th birthday to go out and have the performance he had—47 points in a triple-double on your 38th birthday, man, your body’s supposed to be like killing you at 38, not 47 in a triple-double with it and a win on a roll!”
Draymagic then shows his appreciation towards the King, stating that LeBron has been unchanged in his twenty-year-long career and still manages to play in peek form as a 20-year-old or a young person in his prime would play; this has to “count for something,” Green says.
Furthermore, Draymond sheds some light on this era claiming that it is one of the greatest eras with players like Stephen Curry and LeBron James playing in it, before coming back to the “King” and stating,
“I take my hat off to LeBron for what he’s done and for what he’s doing on and off the court. There’s never been a better face in the NBA, and I’m not sure there ever will be a better face in the NBA.”
Although the NBA did have amazing players in the past, no other player had this protagonist-like spark that James has. LeBron’s stats never dropped; rather, he has improved with his gameplay. On the other hand, when King James is off the field, he is one of the most sensible people you will ever see. Truly, James is the GOAT of the NBA.
His character is to be modeled on and off the court. He is a great sense of pride for his wife and kids. My hat is all the way off!!!
