“He’s not going”: After rejecting €80M bid, Tottenham boss confident Harry Kane will stay amid transfer rumors to Bayern Munich

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has said that star player Harry Kane will not leave the club after the club rejected bids from Bayern Munich.

Harry Kane has been widely linked with a summer departure from Tottenham Hotspur. The England captain is the club’s all-time leading goalscorer.

In his senior career, he has yet to win a trophy. The England National Team captain is already 29 years old; therefore, time is running out for him. As a result, the attacker may seek to join a club that will provide him with more possibilities to win trophies.

Tottenham star to move to Man Utd or Bayern Munich?

Manchester United’s top transfer target this summer is Kane. Manager Erik Ten Haag wants a striker as a priority signing and prefers Kane to other strikers like Victor Osimhein. Kane is a proven Premier League player and can quickly adapt to the team’s dynamics.

But the Premier League giants still haven’t managed to close the deal. The club’s takeover situation has meant that they haven’t been able to put in a proper bid to Tottenham.

And now German champions Bayern Munich have entered the race. Renowned Bild journalist Christian Falk has reported that Harry Kane has now agreed personal terms with the club. The Bavarians have been in close talks with the family of the striker who will handle his departure.

Already two bids from Bayern Munich worth €70m and €80m have been rejected. Bayern Munich’s honorary president even publicly asked Tottenham to drop their price as they believe Harry Kane wants to join their club.

Ange Postecoglou on Harry Kane exit rumors

With no conclusion yet, Harry Kane has already joined the pre-season training with the team. They are currently in Australia, where they will face West Ham in a friendly match.

Ahead of that match, new manager Ange Postecoglou held a press conference. There he was about the Harry Kane issue. But Postecoglou believes that Harry will stay.

The manager was asked about Bayern’s recent advances towards Kane and whether it will impact the forward. “He’s not going to get fazed by anything and it has zero impact on me. He’s here and while he’s here, he’s totally committed to what we’re doing, and that’s the way I’ve seen things,” he said.

“No one has spoken to me from Munich. If other clubs want to talk about our contracted players, that’s more of an issue for them than us.”

After the West Ham match, Tottenham will travel to Thailand where they will face Leicester. Later on, they will face Barcelona in the Joan Gamper trophy in their final game of the pre-season.

Meanwhile, whether Harry Kane remains a Tottenham player or not at the beginning of the season remains to be seen.
