However, when the team is focusing more on keeping the flow of their Supreme legacy intact, some players are leaving no stone unturned to tarnish that.
Recently, the Patriots CB Jack Jones was arrested over firearms charges in the airport and the incident is literally an unexpected headache for his team’s reputation.
How many guns did police find in Jack Jones’ luggage?
Jack Jones is a recent addition to the Patriots who made his NFL debut in the 2022 draft as the round four 121 pick. His rookie season was impressive enough to mark him as a potential footballer. The Cornerback played 13 games while starting two and achieved a mark of 30 tackles, and two interceptions. Besides he defended six passes.
However, This CB potential of Jones is being overshadowed by his misconduct outside the football field, bringing him to the attention of the NFL world negatively.
In his recent incident, the former Arizona state player was carrying two firearms in his luggage which was caught by Transportation Security Administration at the Logan Airport. This act of him landed huge trouble for the footballer and led to his spot arrest.
The 25-year-old NFL star was thrown in hot water after the Massachusetts State Police brought five charges against him. The charges are- having a concealed weapon inside the secured public area, unauthorized possession of weapons, not having any firearm identification card, being caught with loaded weapons, and finally, having a feeding device.
It is not the first time when Jack Jones got entangled in a controversial drama. In 2018, the Patriots player was arrested over the charges of a commercial burglary at Panda Express in California. He had to bear the burnt of a 45 days detention as an outcome of his crime.
What kind of punishment can he face?
As a consequence of his crime, Jones was arrested immediately on the spot but got released on $50,000 bail. However, the matter isn’t disclosed yet as he has to show his face to the East Boston Court for the final verdict in the next week.
His team, the New England Patriots broke free of their silence and issued an official statement regarding the matter saying, “ We have been notified that Jack Jones was arrested at Logan Airport earlier today. We are in the process of gathering more information and will not be commenting further at this time”.
