Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes set a new record in his recent match with 200 touchdowns. Mahomes’ 84th game led to breaking the previous NFL record held by Dan Marino. Mahomes was witnessed achieving this height on Sunday night at MetLife stadium.
The NFL quarterback connected with Noah Grey for a magnificent 34-yard touchdown, increasing the Chief’s led to 17-0 with just 3 minutes and 24 seconds left in the first quarter. Now the QB has taken a generous initiative to donate a substantial sum for every touchdown he makes.
Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany donate $1.625 million
It goes without saying, Patrick Mahomes’ fans are more drawn to him for his generosity due to his many charities and especially his latest gesture. Mahomes garnered the Kansas City Chiefs’ nomination for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award for the 2022 season, owing to the efficient initiatives his organization has undertaken for assisting youths in both Kansas City and Texas.
The Chiefs QB, along with his wife, Brittany Mahomes, have reportedly donated a large sum via ‘The 15 and Mahomies’ foundation. Besides a long-term adherence to the club, the Boys and Girls club of America received $1.625 million on behalf of Mahomes and his foundation. For 16 decades, the club has provided safe haven for teenagers and children to discover knowledge and grow.
Mahomes expressed his excitement afterwards, “We are truly excited to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America by investing in the future of children. Kids who attend a Club, like Brittany once did, are provided with the necessary tools and resources to help this generation not only thrive but lead with compassion and purpose.”
In response to the NFL star’s move, CEO & Executive Director of USA Football, Scott Hallenbeck briefed, “Patrick’s commitment to kids through his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation is immense and uncommon.” Scott added, “We value Patrick’s friendship and love of the game to deliver best-in-class coach training and grants to help elevate youth football programs throughout Greater Kansas City.”
The 15 and Mahomies was formed in 2019 by Super Bowl LIV MVP and Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. It adheres to improving children’s lives through ventures that focus on academics, medical wellness, underserved communities, and other philanthropic causes.
Mahomes to shell out $1500 for every TD he records this season
To add on to their magnanimity, Patrick Mahomes has decided to accord an additional $1500 for every touchdown he records this season. The donation will greatly aid Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the communities that have had a meaningful footprint on Mahomes and his wife, Brittany’s lives: Greater Kansas City, Lubbock, TX, Tyler, TX, and Whitehouse, TX.
The player has recorded 8 touchdowns so far in the running season, summing the extra donation $12,000. Fans are anticipating this time the scores would skyrocket given his impressive stats from last season with, 41 touchdowns in the regular season and 7 in the playoffs, totaling 48 TDs in 2022-23. If Mahomes upholds his top performance, the foundation could receive an additional hefty donation from Pat Mahomes’ family.
Speaking of their initiative Brittany Mahomes said, “This meaningful partnership will expand opportunities for kids everywhere, and the places that have positively impacted Patrick and me.”
