It was a night of basketball and drama at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The Lakers took on the Grizzlies, and the game was intense, with the Lakers coming out on top.
However, the focus of the evening was not on the players on the court, but on what was happening off the court. Fox Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe and the Grizzlies got into a heated argument.
The incident began with Sharpe heckling Dillon Brooks, saying he couldn’t guard LeBron James. Brooks was not pleased with the comment and responded to Sharpe after the game, calling him a “regular pedestrian.” He even argued that Sharpe should not be allowed back at the game.
LeBron on Shannon Sharpe: “I ride with Shannon 365 days — 366 on a leap year — 24/7. So that’s my guy. I always got his back. And he’s got mine. He can talk with the best of them, for sure.” pic.twitter.com/bAHMuPZkix

But LeBron James was not having any of that. He quickly came to Sharpe’s defense, saying he had Sharpe’s back 24/7, no matter what. He cited Sharpe’s many years of defending him on the show “Undisputed” and how he had been debating with known LeBron–hater Skip Bayless for so long.
His loyalty to Sharpe was clear, and it was evident that James had noticed the analyst’s dedication over the years.
LeBron said, “I ride with Shannon 365 days — 366 on a leap year — 24/7. So that’s my guy. I always got his back. And he’s got mine. He can talk with the best of them, for sure.”
The incident between Sharpe and the Grizzlies was a reminder of why sports are so popular, as it brings out the passion and emotion of the people involved. It was also a reminder of the loyalty LeBron James has for those who have stood by him for so long.
In the end, James was able to have the last word and show his support for Shannon.
