“I haven’t heard any Doc Rivers slander” – Patrick Beverley Responds to Haters as Bucks Head to Final

Even though big teams like the Lakers and Warriors were eliminated from the NBA Cup, the Milwaukee Bucks surprised everyone by reaching the final. They will play the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night in Las Vegas.

In light of this achievement, former Bucks star Patrick Beverley has called out the critics, saying it’s time for fans to recognize Doc Rivers’ role in the team’s success this season.

In a recent episode of his podcast, Patrick Beverley defended head coach Doc Rivers against criticism from the media and fans. This came after the media had criticized Rivers, especially during the Bucks’ tough start to the season (2-8).

Now that the team has a 14-11 record, Beverley felt it was the right time to speak out against the critics. Targeting the critics, he said, “I haven’t heard any Doc Rivers slander at all lately. I hear zero talk about the Milwaukee Bucks and how they’re not good while they’ve been missing Khris Middleton for damn near the whole season.”

Beverley added, “And they’re not even giving him credit for it. They don’t wanna give him no love for it. They’re literally picking other people, and talking about their Player of the Month. How? But go get it out of the mud, Greek. We don’t want it the easy way.”

Patrick Beverley decides to stay in EuroCup with Hapoel

Patrick Beverley has decided to stay with Hapoel Tel Aviv in the EuroCup, ending any talk about him returning to the NBA. Two weeks ago, there was uncertainty about his future, with Beverley saying it was “50-50.” His family and fiancée made his decision harder, but after thinking it over, Beverley shared on his podcast that he chose to stay in Israel.

He said, “There were some teams that offered [me a deal]. Some EuroLeague teams, I’m not gonna really say their name because I don’t wanna get any team or anybody in trouble. But it was some teams from the EuroLeague that reached out that needed a guard like me and were excited to come for me to join their team.”
