It has been speculated for a while that Kylian Mbappe would leave PSG. Sergio Ramos, currently a teammate of Mbappe’s, has quickly put an end to those rumors with a public statement.
Five months after signing a contract with the club, there have been rumors of a rift between the French striker and PSG. Sources have stated that the striker doesn’t align with the club’s direction and he would also prefer to join Real Madrid.
The decision on whether or not the former Monaco player would leave the club was scheduled to be made following PSG’s draw with Benefica.
Following all this speculation, the former Real Madrid player and Mbappe’s current teammate said, “I see him [Mbappe] very happy. I enjoy playing with him and his friendship. If he has to say something he will say it. And he just renewed his contract. We have to stay away from the reports that are going around since we don’t know if they are true.”
Luís Campos, a football adviser of the Red-and-Blues, has also confirmed that the current number 7 has not said anything about ending the contract with him or Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the President of Paris SG.
Although the transfer rumors don’t seem to come to conclusion, for now, it is evident that Perez’s team can not match the current salary that the French striker is getting from PSG, which makes him the highest-paid striker in the football world. Forbes has also predicted that Mbappe will earn a total of $128 million USD for the 2022–23 season.
Still, we don’t know much about the situation as neither Mbappe nor PSG has said anything official about the rumor.
