Former NBA superstar Paul pierce has heaped praise on Celtics forward Jayson Tatum after his 39-point haul helped the Boston Celtics take a 3-0 lead over the Brooklyn Nets.
Jayson Tatum has been in sensational form lately. His last-second winner, game-changing three-pointer, and his latest 39-point game haul have been instrumental in giving the Celtics a 3-0 lead.
Nets vs Celtics is one of the most talked-about playoff games in recent years, and Tatum has stolen all the headlines. His performances have been so instrumental that former superstar Paul Peirce has gone on to claim that Jayson Tatum is surpassing Kevin Durant.
I think Jason Tatum maybe surpassing Kevin Durant right before our eyes in the NBA hierarchy

Kevin Durant, who stood on the opposite side of the center circle, has had a very decorated career in the NBA. Though many are suggesting that the 5-time NBA all-star is on the decline, so Peirce has taken it a step further.
Durant has struggled for consistency in this series. Much of KD’s struggles have been down to the Celtics being extra physical with the former NBA champions. Durant himself has acknowledged that. Now it remains to be seen what alterations he makes for the crucial fourth game.
Game four will reveal if Pierce was correct in his prediction that Tatum will surpass KD, or whether his prediction was presumptuous. A win for the Celtics would imply a dominating play-off whitewash of the Nets in the play-offs, while a win for the Nets would kick off an unlikely comeback.
