There are a lot of different perspectives on Francis Ngannou’s choice of leaving the UFC since many people admired the audacity and boldness of his decision, while many others disapproved of it. Conor McGregor, on the other hand, belongs to the latter group of people since he thinks that it was more of a mistake for the heavyweight.

In January, after eight years with the UFC, the Cameroonian-French fighter left the organization when contract negotiations fell through. Nonetheless, the heavyweight remained to his original plan of pursuing boxing professionally despite the wishes of many MMA fighters that he continues with UFC for a few more years by negotiating a deal with Dana.
What does Conor McGregor think of Francis Ngannou’s decision?
Most notable UFC fighters have already voiced their thoughts on Ngannou’s decision. The Notorious, on the other hand, didn’t say anything until he took part in an interview with The MMA Hour just a few days ago. McGregor expressed his thoughts on Francis while discussing a number of current UFC trending topics.
“He [ Francis Ngannou ] was in that Performance Institute, using all the equipment, there was no dough on that, you know? I thought he made an error to be honest.” said Conor.
I gave the lads my take on the Conor McGregor interview, explained why I think Leon will win again and debated whether Francis Ngannou’s free agency has proved a good decision so far.

McGregor, who has also been out of the octagon for over two years at this point, is of the opinion that The Predator ought to have renewed his contract. The Irishman claims that Ngannou is aiming to cut a massive contract in boxing, which will not be an easy thing to do now that he is out of the UFC.
“I mean he hasn’t fought in a minute. Get a bout under the belt and then maybe start. I wasn’t sure why he done that to be honest and you know, it has kind of taken the shine off of him, how it went but look, I wish him well.” Conor further added.

Originally, Francis wanted to fight boxing heavyweight icon Tyson Fury, but that bout is in doubt now that Fury is still yet to reach an agreement with Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine. Ngannou did not want to renew his contract with the UFC since doing so would prevent him from competing in any bout other than the UFC.
Francis Ngannou and Conor Mcgregor both had interviews on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour at roughly the same time and 14 hours later Conor has about 500k views and Francis has about 25k views. The fact remains; Francis Ngannou is not a draw. People don’t care about him.
