The latest edition of WWE Raw featured some intense action, which includes the return of Brock Lesnar who demolished Cody Rhodes and accepted his challenge for SummerSlam 2023. Rather than this, the Intercontinental Champion Gunther also competed in a singles bout which resulted in brutal chops on Matt Riddle’s chest.
However, since becoming the IC Champion The Ring General had shown his domination and also defeated superstars like Sheamus, and Drew Mcintyre during his Championship reign.
Fans react to Gunther’s “gunshot” chop
The Ring General had competed against Riddle on the recent edition of Monday Night Raw. During the match, the other members of Imperium i.e. Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci were banned from ringside. Despite this, Gunther defeated Riddle in a breathtaking match. The Imperium Leader had also used his signature chops which echoed throughout the arena. However, the WWE Universe had given their response to the brutal chops delivered by Gunther. Some of them termed them as “gunshots” and some of the fans want Brock Lesnar to take one of these chops.

A match between Gunther & Brock Lesnar is something the WWE Universe wants to witness. The last confrontation between the two of them took place at Royal Rumble 2023, where The Ring General had given a show stellar performance.
Gunther calls out Drew McIntyre following defeating Matt Riddle
The upcoming premium live event of the company is SummerSlam 2023. The show already seems to be stacked with official matches announced like Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor for World Heavyweight Championship. However, seems like another Championship match could be added to the show soon. On the recent edition of Monday Night Raw, after Gunther defeated Riddle in a singles bout. He went to the ringside announcer’s table and calls out Drew Mcintyre for a match.
The Scottish Warrior made his return back at Money in the Bank 2023 where he returned and delivered a Claymore Kick to the Ring General. There were many instances on Raw, where Mcintyre & Gunther faced each other. So it seems like the Stamford-based promotion is finally looking towards a dream clash for the fans as both the hard-hitting star.
Recently, The Ring General also surpassed 400+ days as your Intercontinental Champion. Just in around 55 days, he will be able to surpass the historic Championship reign of Honky Tonky Man. It will be interesting to see whether Drew Mcintyre could able to stop the dominating reign of Gunther in the company.
