Undefeated welterweight boxer Conor Benn revealed some shocking information regarding the traumatic life he had to lead since coming out positive for a drug test.
The British boxer was scheduled to fight Chris Eubank Jr in his 22nd professional boxing bout last October at the 02 Arena of London. However, this turned out to be a nightmare come true in Conor’s life.

A testosterone-altering drug clomifene was found on Benn’s body due to which he had to sit for another test, but both times he came positive for that drug. The bout was immediately canceled and the young promising boxer’s career stopped for the moment.
In an interview with Piers Morgan, Benn revealed his current state and how he dealt with the moment when he tested positive. This is the very first time the boxer made a public appearance since the shocking revelation.
Benn was emotional throughout the interview as he recalled what he had to face and endure during these difficult times. To be branded a cheat in the court of public opinion was the saddest part of his life.

The welterweight boxer also shared that he did not think he was going to make it through this period. Most nights he spent sobbing and counting days as he did not believe he would make it to another day.
When Conor was asked if he felt suicidal during this time, he affirmed, which explains how severe the situation turned out to be given he is a fighter and has strong fighting mental strength.
“Yeah, I would say so. And it upsets me now because I don’t know how I got so bad. I got in a really bad way. Although I had done nothing wrong, I was having night terrors, and panic attacks. I was really struggling. I was in a really bad way.” Conor said.

Son of Nigel Benn made his professional boxing career debut back in 2013. Over the course of seven years, Benn fought in 21 bouts and extraordinarily he remained undefeated. In the interview, the boxer also mentioned how hard it was for his family.
“I felt like seven years of hard work and sacrifice and leaving my family, and the image I maintained, was just ruined at someone else’s incompetence. It’s been hard for the family.” Benn further added.
