UFC 282 was the last pay-per-view event of 2022 so fans had very high expectations. The fighters certainly put everything on the line Inside the octagon but the controversial judging left a dark shadow. Many fans, enthusiasts, and pundits alike thought the judging in the Jared Gordon fight was especially shady.
The up-and-coming UFC fighter Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett took on the tried and tested Jared ‘Flash’ Gordon in the co-main event. Many fans were riding the Paddy hype train and expected a dominating performance from the British Fighter. But Jared had other plans.
The first two rounds saw Jared put up an absolute show. He was hitting Pimblett with the left hook, landing clean leg kicks, countering many shots, and most importantly stopping the takedowns. In the third round, both fighters were mostly stacked against the cage. Paddy had his moments but the fight was mostly Gordons.
Finally, it was time for the results, and then came the main shocker! All three judges scored the contest in ‘The Baddy’s favor. Most spectators and media outlets could not agree with the decision as they thought the fight should at least be a split decision.
While all this was going on, Jared went silent. Fans were naturally concerned about his mental state and if he would carry on fighting.
Finally, Gordon broke his silence on Twitter where he said, “I was robbed everyone knows it i… I can cry about it but I been back from worst and gods plan is the best plan so I know there’s something big to come from it.
