The Super Bowl this season is going to be unpredictable, with top teams, the Eagles and the Chiefs, fighting it out to determine this season’s champions. Many fans cannot wait to see the encounter, especially with quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts representing the two teams. However, one person claims that he will not watch the game; he is none other than 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa.
Why will Nick Bosa not watch the Super Bowl?
While the 49ers were superb this season and were one of the contenders to win the Bowl this season, the Eagles shattered their dream while embarrassing them in the Conference Championship game. The 49ers in that game seemed out of character as they only scored seven points and went on to lose the game with a ginormous margin of twenty-four points!
In that game, Nick Bosa was ordinary, to say the least, and could not stop the offensive “flock of Eagles.” Maybe this is why he does not want to watch the season finale- the Super Bowl, as he still cannot process that defeat.
In a recent interview with reporters, Nick was asked about his encounter with Jalen Hurts in the match Eagles vs 49ers, where he could not stop the quarterback. In reply, Bosa said, “[Hurts is] strong … I was trying to pull him back, but yeah, he’s deceptively strong.”
Furthermore, he was asked which quarterback would go on to win the Super Bowl, and Nick responded, saying, “That will be a good battle that I will not be watching.” Afterwards, everyone in the locker room laughed hard, as it was pretty sarcastic coming from Bosa.

But was it, though? The expression on Nick Bosa’s face suggested otherwise. The defensive end would have loved to be a part of this year’s Super Bowl and could easily win with quarterback Brock Purdy in great nick. However, that did not happen as the Eagles outplayed them and are the deserving team to play in the main event.
