“I’d be p***ed if it’s a disqualification”: KSI shares candid thoughts on Joe Fournier appealing to PFA following defeat at Misfit boxing event

After two days of controversy in the boxing world, KSI has finally spoken out about his unlawful elbow strike. Joe Fournier decided to officially challenge the the fight result, thus KSI revealed what really happened that night.

Many boxing fans immediately rushed to social media to condemn KSI for the way he won the main event of Misfits Boxing 7 in London’s OVO Arena. Due to the shoddy refereeing, KSI secured the victory by TKO.

After the bout, Joe questioned how the referee could have missed the elbow that had knocked him to the ground. As a result, the billionaire businessman is suing Misfits Boxing and the YouTuber-turned-boxer rather than ending the discussion by accepting defeat.

What does KSI have to say about Joe Fournier’s formal appeal of the ruling?

On Monday, KSI took part in an interview with The MMA Hour. The British rapper provided several specifics of the fight, including the fact that the elbow strike wasn’t done on purpose. The young boxer claims that he battled valiantly and that his entire team worked extremely hard; therefore, it would be disappointing if the outcome changed to disqualification.

“If it’s a no-contest, fine. I’d be p***ed if it’s a disqualification because I didn’t intentionally try to hit him with my forearm or elbow. I’m at peace with a no-contest. I’m a fair guy.” KSI said.

The Professional Boxers Association (PBA), the organization that authorized the Misfits Boxing 7 event in London’s OVO Arena, has already received a written complaint from Fournier. To assess if KSI made an intentional mistake or not, the Association will examine the elbow strike issue. A decision will be made by Friday, May 19, following proper investigation.

KSI is still interested to face The Problem Child

KSI has been really interested in fighting Jake Paul since the beginning of his boxing career. The British boxer isn’t losing focus on facing off against his arch-enemy Jake despite the Fournier fight outcome being questioned and the subject of an investigation.

“I don’t need a win. For me, the reason I came back was to knock out Jake Paul. These are all just side quests to get to Jake Paul, but now I can indirectly destroy Jake Paul’s legacy by beating Tommy Fury.” KSI added.

The internet influencer called out Tommy Fury during the post-fight interview. Facing The Problem Child in the ring is his ultimate objective. Hence, he’d be one step closer to that highly-anticipated bout with Jake if he gets a convincing victory over TNT.
