The Brooklyn Nets lost their key player, Kyrie Irving as the point guard submitted a trade request, but there’s one upbringing we can find: Cam Thomas.
While stars like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were on the court, the shooting guard was a bench warmer. However, that’s going to change from now on as the player is fantastic whenever he gets a chance from the bench. The last two games against the Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Clippers were a fiery show for the franchise.
Following Kyrie’s trade drama, the Nets saw Cam’s magnanimous 44-point haul in just 29 minutes, and last night he scored a career-best 47 points at the Barclays Center and reached the level of living legend LeBron James.
What did cam Thomas say regarding LeBron James?
After scoring 47 points against the clippers, Cam joined LeBron James as the second youngest player in scoring 40 points in back-to-back games. When asked about his feeling, Cam said, “I’m glad to have my name mentioned with that guy, even though I’m a Kobe guy. So, if you said Kobe I would’ve been more excited.”

Aside from making jokes the 21 years old added, “No, I’m kidding, but it’s still great company. He’s about to break the all-time scoring record in two games or one game. So I’m just glad to have my name mentioned with him this young.”
Against the wizards, Thomas scored 44 points with six rebounds and five assists coming off the bench. And last night he started the first game this season, scoring 47 points with four rebounds and three assists in 39 minutes of play.

Even in these games, his scoring efficiency came to notice by the NBA fans. His 91 points came 59.6% from field goal, 68.8% from three-pointers, and 90% from free throws; missing only five throws beyond the arc.
Previously, Thomas was picked 27th overall by the nets in the 2021 NBA draft. Before that, he played for LSU at the college level, demonstrating his scoring ability.
